Took delivery yesterday and found an unpainted tailgate and fuel door. My sales guy said it's a new one on him, but he's seen some glaring mistakes before. He did enjoy having a story to perpetuate the Friday QC mythology.

The fuel door… ok I could see how that happens. The tailgate? Lol. At least you seem to have a good attitude about it and I’m sure it’ll be fixed!

I'd see if you could could spin this in your favor and get them to LineX it for free. Bare paint isn't the best for a cargo area anyway.

That's definitely not a bad idea. I was thinking of having them do the the mirror caps and beauty rings in AMB, but this might be a better ask.

Ridiculous oversight by manufacturing. WTF. Appalled at the growing list of issues.

Trying to stay positive about all these issues. Things happen and products and companies cannot hide imperfections these days. This is not a good sign for QC at all…. I mean you just have to open a door and stick your head inside to see it. OP I hope Ford hooks you up!

Well they said they were getting rid of anti matter blue, and apparently your Bronco was the last one built when the last bit of paint ran out. Amazing…..how in the hell does this get past whoever inspects these vehicles?

Money saving situation, you weren't suppose to notice. :)

Seriously, that is quite sad. I mean, someone had to install the tailgate. One would think it would have been caught at that point.

BTW, I do like TD's idea to LineX the thing.

That is a big oversight. I wonder how this physically happens, since the painting is automated.

I couldn't agree more. It has me re-thinking my order. Do I wait a year to get it and take the risk of poor quality? I don't know, I'll have to decide that soon. Every growing issue I hear about makes me less and less inclined to throw my money at a product that obviously isn't ready for prime time.
