I just read this entire post and thought I would share my experience with VLAND.
I bought these lights directly from China for around $300, long before I researched and realized the difference with factory LED and halogen tail lights, I have a base Big Bend. I installed them, they fit great and were well constructed, literally plug and play, but had no brakes lights. I have been emailing there company for almost 4 months, through this email chain they have shown me a harness and asked if I installed it several times. I assure them that this harness wasn't included in my kit and ask for them to send it to me. I just sent pictures of the box and labels for a 3rd time tonight. Maybe next year I'll get those magical harnesses. If I ever get the harness I will let you know if they work. I wish I had the time or know how of how to make them work, because everything, except the brake lights look great. They have a cool start up animation and a small sequential t/s animation. But can't be used with no brake lights....

I ordered oracle flush mounts about a year and half ago. Noticed a few weeks ago that my right side has a couple of the LEDs out. Hit the housing and they came back on. Emailed oracle and unfortunately they only have 1yr warranty. They offered to sell me an individual but when I asked for a price they referred me to their website to submit an order request and couldnt give me a quote thru the email. I then asked for a schematic so I can open it up and attempt a repair. They said they do not have diagnostic troubleshooting procedures. Their answers werent rude but seemed a little short. I wasnt impressed with the customer service but I also wasnt upset if that makes sense. Do what you will with this info. Im gonna put stocks back in and attempt a repair first. If Im successful then Im having the housings painted body color. If not then Ill be ordering smoked LED from Mabett.
RIght after I posted this my light started working normal. I noticed a couple weeks ago it was starting to act up again. This past weekend however my driver side has now gone bad. Ill be putting my stocks back in tonight and throwing these in the trash. Came here searching for other options. Looks like Ill be watching ebay and the for sale ads for oem led.

At this point, looks like the OEM LED taillights are the most reliable option. @GusVG do you know if these are the right part numbers?

I'm sure this happens to many of us here. We are looking for something specific for our Bronco and we come across other "good" options but not quite what we are looking for. I'm still doing that search but I figured I start a thread with what I have found so far in case that is valuable for someone else in this forum. While I absolutely love my BD for many reasons, I think the OEM LED Taillights is the missing piece. I see many Broncos out there and, especially driving at night, I'm reminded that my car is missing something.

What I'm looking for
If Ford's OEM LED Taillights would have been compatible, I would have bought them a long time ago. I'm looking to replace my halogens for:
1) OEM LED taillights that look just like factory but from a high quality/known brand or
2) non-OEM LED taillights that would look like a decent replacement, also from a high quality/known brand.

What I found so far (edited 3/14/24/)
I'm only listing the LED replacement options that are compatible with halogens. Splitting into all styles (no specific order):

OEM-style
  1. Lumen8 Smoked LED Taillights from Buckle Up Off Road (probably China), $500
  2. Mabett LED Smoked Taillights from Mabett/Amazon (probably China), $350
  3. VLAND LED Taillights from VLAND (probably China), $300

Raptor-style
  1. Mabett Raptor Style LED Taillights from Mabett/Amazon (probably China), $330
  2. Raptor Full LED Taillights from Led Factory Mart (probably China). $430

Non-OEM style
  1. Flush Red or Tinted LED Taillights by Oracle (USA), $470
  2. LED Taillights with Black Housings from CJ Pony Parts (China? USA?), $560
  3. High-Powered OLED Bar Style Clear or Smoked Taillightsfrom Recon (China? USA?), $800
  4. LED Sequential Taillightsby Quake LED (China? USA?), $440

I'm committed to keep this list updated if any of you have any other suggestions or if some of the info is wrong. Price is for reference, I'm not updating price but happy to link other sites that also sells them. I'm sure this will help the next person looking for this. Also, if you have any reviews about any of these products, let's hear them too.

Little busy for my taste but prob the best option out there
I had the same thoughts. Way too many sections - I don't want such a futuristic look on my Bronco.

I just want a simple retro looking but clean LED. Everyone is missing the mark.

I am not 100% sure of the part numbers, I didn't write them down. I purchased some take offs

in regards to the forscan mod, some people are saying the "they flashed them" not sure what that is. I changed the BCM settings Right and Left rear Turn lamp signal outage to "disabled" (each individually) besides not having the amber turn signal - they work just fine. my turn signal is red
Do you have an issue with the rear lights pulsating?

no, not at all. the only thing is that my Amber lights do not go on, from what I've read, new wiring harness is needed, but I'm gonna do that - I'm ok with the way it is

The pulsing others have mentioned doesn't happen continuously. It's only under certain conditions (such as when the vehicle is in park). Yes, using Forscan software you can make certain adjustments (like specifying LED taillights instead of halogens - although making this change only has an effect if other changes are made to the vehicle wire harness -described below). Forscan with an OBDII connection is necessary to make modifications to the vehicle software (for example: you can use Forscan to disable the vehicle autostop/start feature). The LED taillights will function in a usable way when replacing halogens (this is by sheer luck I think). Without any additional modifications the LEDs can replace the halogens. Here is what will be different: the vehicles that were installed with halogens are missing one wire to each of the taillights. This one wire will activate the amber elements of the taillights. Without the extra wire added a different part of the taillights (different from vehicles that had LEDs installed as standard) will illuminate when the brake pedal is pressed. Technically (based on Federal specifications) the turn signal light should be amber (however, few people understand this, including patrol officers, otherwise you could be issued a citation for malfunctioning equipment). Because a portion of the LEDs functions in a way that provides a "stop light" this difference can be overlooked. It is possible to retrofit a halogen-equipted vehicle with LEDs (and have them function in the exact same way). To retrofit you must add the missing wires (one to each taillight) and modify the taillight connector to add the extra wire. This requires running 2 new wires through the vehicle that both originate at the Body Control Module (the BdyCM is the identification term you would see listed in Forscan), one wire to each of the taillights. Each of the 2 new wires would need to be added to the stock (halogen-equipted) wire harness and incorporated into the connectors at each end (which is is possible because everything about the wire harness between the halogen and LED taillights is identical EXCEPT for the 2 missing wires). Once the 2 wires have been added, Forscan must be used to change the vehicle programming to show LEDs are being used instead of halogens (this change to the programming allows the vehicle to recognize and use the 2 new wires and activate the amber elements of the taillights). Bottom line? Adding the 2 wires is a lot of work (and the LEDs will function in a way that is adequate) so most people don't go through all of the trouble involved in a technically accurate retrofit.

Thank you for the post. I did not see the option within FORSCAN to select LED vs Halogen tailights. Is it in the As Built BCM? Can you provide any information on this (or photos)? Thank you in advance.
