Right now, there is only one option that I am truly pining for in the MT Bronco and that is the front dig. Please, please FORD, give us MT enthusiasts the ability to use the front dig. Thanks in advance.

I will take a button, lever or switch to activate it.

I mentioned this in another thread, but I think it has to do with saving the clutch. The front dig feature would probably cause the clutch to slip a lot during operation, which could cause a lot of wear and possible clutch failure.
When I would need to use the front dig, I would not be worried about the clutch. It isn't like it would be used in a parking lot. If the clutch slips on the trail using front dig, then there is a problem with the clutch. Are you saying Ford tested the FRONT dig on the trail and the MT slipped?

I don't know for sure, that's just my guess. I know it uses the traction control and ABS to brake the inside wheel, so maybe you could flash a different cal to the ABS module to enable the feature on an MT model. I would think the aftermarket would look into this. We'll see.
I would like to have it available from the factory, but if an aftermarket flash / adding a button or switch or lever would work, I would be fine with that too. It is hard to believe that the clutch would slip.

I hear what you are saying. But I can't think of any other reason why it wouldn't be available on the manual. I'll try to see if I can get some info on this topic later this week.
Excellent,

Thanks so much.

Also, the crawl ratio is the best in the MT. Having the dig available to a competent driver with the MT would make this an off road monster.

With the Dig only applying brake to one wheel..... I'm not really seeing too much of an issue with the clutch. Then again, I don't know the inter workings of this on the Bronco .

This would be greatly appreciated.

So the locking front diff is not available with the manual trans? So this means you cannot get the Sasquatch Pkg with a manual?

is the 'front dig' the 'trail turn assist'?
I'm targeting the MT too and want to know what i'm NOT going to get (besides the 2.7 ?)

No, the locking front diff is available with the manual, as the Badlands model has both the manual and a front diff lock standard. I have not seen anything saying the Sasquatch package cannot be ordered with a manual, but this is something else I will try to confirm this week.
Thanks for the clarification. I thought front dig was perhaps "slang" for a locking diff, but now I see this thread appears to be discussing another feature.

It would be great to have a L/R button on the steering wheel (like a manual shift auto, aka paddle shifter). Mount them on the steering wheel with a press and hold feature (hold the paddle to engage the brake).

Come on FORD !!
