I plan on either modifying the modular bumper to accept a winch or just making my own bumper so yeah I'd say welding on a reciever should be easy enough. Did the same thing to my comanche although a lil uglier than I play to do on the Bronco.

Nothing comes from the factory with a front hitch receiver.

It will be aftermarket or custom.

Would be handy to have.

Planning to build mine as well, for a winch. Or are you referring to a hitch for flat towing?

I'm hoping, but doubtful that some aftermarket will make something that can bolt onto the existing factory bumperS (maybe to the recovery spots) that will allow for either a reviever or at least a winch.

But chances are we'll have to buy a whole new bumper.

The nice thing about a front hitch mounted winch is that it sticks out so far that with it installed you will be bashing it into things long before it lets you get into a situation where you would actually need a winch.

I actually did just that on my XJ... Installed a front hitch for either the winch or a bike rack. Worked out good..the main issue was simple that I had to plan ahead to hook it up. So those last minute explorations or trying to help someone else when needed didn't work out because my winch was (and still is) sitting in the garage.

Some of us will not install it, until needed, problem solved.

FINALLY - a sensible human. Now just put this connector on the front and back:

Ford Bronco Front Hitch Capable 1618492959560
That connector looks good but I'm concerned about the silver contacts, however the connector looks similar to the Warn and Bulldog ones. Those do not list the contact type of finish. The safest bet is the standard boaters trick, always coat all your electrical connector pins and connections with dielectric grease, including 4 and 7 pin trailer light connectors or winch connectors. Otherwise, moisture will tarnish the contacts and you will lose electrical connection or reduce your amperage due to resistance.
