It’s a mid bass speaker in the B&O system, was at an event today and the grill was a bit loose.

I didn’t have a tape measure, but it appeared to me to be a 5 1/4”

More confirmation that I will not be buying the Lux package. Now where is that speaker delete option so I don't have to throw the stock ones in the landfill.

It’s been a while, but I was into car audio pretty heavily at one point, more on the SPL (loud bass) side. Considered lots of people in the industry friends. The speakers, even in the B&O systems are usually $30-$50 speakers to replace.

Here is the Ranger, non B&O speaker, look familiar?

I don’t know anything about higher end sound equipment.

Are you saying that the speaker is OK or not OK as part of the B&O system? What’s the special sauce for B&O? Should it have different speakers than what we see here or is the magic in the electronics part?

With an open-top vehicle, I always have to hear it first before I decide which way to take the audio system... if I change it at all. Sometimes, the juice isn't worth the squeeze for these vehicles.

The speakers aren’t magically different, you add a subwoofer (which is honestly probably the same speaker), center channel and some tweeters. The amp and crossover cleans up the sound.

At least one will fit down there. My fear is that the dash L/R speakers are going to be 4in or smaller so I was thinking I may end up adding some 5.25 in the kick panel and upgrade the 4in. 2 4in up front would suck.
