Front License Plate placement

I’m not putting my front plate on. Required in my state (VA), but police are typically directed to not pull people over for this and other minor vehicle compliance issues alone. It will be tacked on to any moving violation I’m stopped for… but I plan to just wing it and take the risk. Worse thing that happens is a small fine.

My dealer says (lol, that phrase again) that many buyers are avoiding the front plate altogether, and they don’t install the OEM bracket unless requested.

On my bb plastic bumper I put it in the factory location, considered off setting to the left like EB's, but went stock. They sit lower and look better with the plastic vs mod bumper.

It looks very solid! Good placement off of the front grill. Does it have any option to mount in the center? Below the sensor? The only drawback being off to the side would be if you choose to run fog lights on the modular bumper.

the bolt slots are measured for that exact position with a little wiggle room to adjust how you like it. The plate mount is also adjustable with a up-down range of about 4" and side to side range of about 7". If your savy with drilling new mounting bolt holes on the bracket you can mount it elsewhere. The simplicity, build quality and adjustability of it made it stand out from the others.

The Built Rite was setting off the sensors on my OBX. I just ended up using two long zip ties through top holes in the plate and going around the piece right in the middle between the sensors. Works great.

Put mine on the Rock Guard under my Standard Bumper. I got this from @HBTFD. It attaches to a Mod Bumper at nearly the same spot with existing bolts. Had to drill out the holes, but I'm happy with the result.

Same exact location for mine. Avoids parking sensor, fog lights, and ACC. BuiltRight bracket was top notch IMO.

I'm in VA with you. With my capable bumper, the bracket below looks alright. Bought mine in NC.....the dealer didn't order the no-charge bracket for mine.
In Hampton Roads, I notice all the entitled people with their new Audis and BMWs don't install front plates, and VBPD does nothing. It's a whole new world. Back in the 70's, VBPD would promptly ticket you.

Not gonna find too many fans of the factory authorized front plate mounting solution. Good news is there are lots of options. I went with @DV8offroad and some minor modifications - because I have serious OCD issues.

I found the best place for the front plate was hanging in my garage until i need it for inspection.
