I have a '23 BL SAS, LUX with the capable bumper and am wondering if anyone has found a solution to mount a front receiver hitch. This will not be used to mount a winch but rather simple accessories (bike rack, cargo carrier, etc.) and maybe even to back my trailer once in a while if possible. I know X Rack makes one for the modular bumper but wondering if anyone has found a solution for the capable.

The XRack product isn't specific to the modular bumper. It is fitted to the winch plate. They used the FP Warn Winch plate, but any winch plate should be able to bolt up their carrier. Now the question is which winch plate mounts to the capable bumper and @RagnarKon posted recently that he mounted the FP Warn winch plate to the capable bumper.

@RagnarKon I just finished watching your hour video on mounting the Ford Performance winch to your capable bumper. However, I'm having some problems finding this "FP Warn winch plate". I called Warn and they said it could be 1 of the 2 items below. Do you happen to know which one it is?

https://www.warn.com/flatbed-winch-mount-m12-m827450-11078
or
https://www.warn.com/foot-down-winch-mount-13942

Also, what kit did you purchase for all of the other required nut/bolts/brackets involved to even mount the winch plate?

Of course I'm unsure if I'm going to get as ambitious as you with that install or just sit back and wait for a company like Draw-tite or Curt to make a simple bolt-on solution. Depends on how desperate I get in needing a front-mounted receiver hitch.

Wow… I’m impressed you could handle my nonsense for an entire hour. ;)

Anyway, none of the above is the answer. The kit is sold through Ford Performance. Link:

https://performanceparts.ford.com/part/M-1821-B

That kit comes with everything you need, bolts, nuts, wiring, winch mount, the winch itself, etc. Probably not what you were hoping for, as I’m sure you were looking to just buy the winch mount without the winch. But that’s what it is.

You may be able to buy it from a Ford Performance Parts reseller for cheaper, so shop around. Just watch out for shipping costs, as it does ship via freight. It may ultimately be cheaper just to order from Ford and use the “ship to dealer” option.

Do you know if Ford sells the winch mounting hardware without the winch, or is it literally all just 1 big parts list/kit? Based on your reply above, I assume the answer is no.

I was looking at getting the RC high mount for my Badlands winch, but after seeing Tricky Dick's ordeal with bending, I figured I would try to stick with the Ford option, if possible.

Gotcha, I'll see if I can price it out then. Thanks for the quick reply on a month old thread!
