Placed my FE order yesterday in NJ ; I have to say - the dealerships don't know nothing about this vehicle ;
I asked questions about the accessories and they were not sure what some of them were or looked like. Anything that was Late availability- Did Ford say what that meant? Sorry No Idea about timeline;
I ordered a Cactus Grey with Black Interior. I actually wished the other bead lock wheels with the brushed aluminum ring were avail and its not for the FE. The dealer asked me what options I wanted for my FE and I laughed. I said you are aware this has every option!; He asked what motor I wanted and I looked at him strange - I thought the 4 Door FEs only came with a 2.7... I got to say that this is the worst rollout I have ever seen for a new vehicle... I was going to buy this Bronco but this process has made me reconsider and I'm going to Lease for short term and see what the 2022 and 2023 has to offer. Another thing that irritates me as they are rushing out 2021 models and 3 months later the 2022 is avail; WHY NOT MAKE THEM 2022 MODELS!!!!!!! Lets hope this process gets easier

I had a good experience ordering yesterday. I will say I did know more about the Bronco than even the “specialist.”
Much of the frustration we are experiencing is due to lack of communication to customers and dealerships from hdqtrs.

There were several accessories that I wanted to order which were unavailable, tube doors and fold down tray, just to name a couple. I predict there will be chaos around the DIO (dealer installed options) when our Broncos start coming in.

No issues at all. I came in with my printed build and $400 check and was in and out in about 20 minutes. My confirmation email from Ford came before I left the dealer. #blackdiamind.

Most salespersons have a working knowledge of every vehicle they have to sell. That small amount of knowledge is usually good enough for the average customer. The Bronco is just another pay check for a sales person, and nothing special to most. With vehicles like the Bronco, Corvette, etc the buyer is more times than not more knowledgeable than the average sales person. So, don't be surprised you know more than yours. It's just the nature of the beast. So, help them out where you can. I don't cast any dispersions on a person trying to support their family in a very competitive industry.

We are very lucky that we do have dealers with true Bronco specialist to get us through the process. And, also fortunate we have this forum to help us get the info we need to make an informed purchase.

Didn't have any issues. I actually just moved and transfered my order to a local dealer two days ago after talking with them. Yesterday they emailed and asked me to email them a copy of my build and price so they could place the order. No extra money down, no extra hassle.

I did know a bit more than my dealer, but they were well prepared and informed. I would say they didn't know about the accessories to any great extent, but they only had 15 orders and an allotment of 5. We will see when the order goes through this morning. I would also mention, they are almost as excited as me to get the Bronco in. I think they expect to do well with them, once they become more widely available (they are in a small rural town and also have the Jeep and GM dealerships in the town).

One thing...you'll have no problem swapping those black rings from your FE for the shiny silver rings from another squatched Bronco. I'll do it in a heartbeat if you still have them when I get mine....

Did they have paint color samples or vehicles with accurate colors there? Did they have a model at the store? I live south of Indy.

No one has models at the dealerships yet. Most colors are available to look at on other models and they do have some Bronco Sports with Bronco colors.

Ask for Chad.

The best way to avoid a bad sales experience is to do some due diligence before you commit to a dealership and long before you start the order. My first dealer, which the Ford site automatically defaulted to, was neither responsive nor well informed. After researching and reading a lot on this site, I found a great dealership with a motivated Bronco specialist who is proactive and makes it his (and my )business to be up to speed on this vehicle. Buyer beware;buyer do your homework-in advance.

All this is a brand new way of doing things, and the dealers are learning as they go. I was the first converted order at my dealership, they told me this, so I told them "we will learn together because this is my first time ordering a vehicle". It was a good experience overall.

My recommendation to all is to just be patient with your dealer as they navigate through the process.

I have already said this once but I will say it again.....

1. Ford dropped the ball on training dealerships.

2. Poor work ethic on dealers. I have spoken to a few salespeople who admitted this site has more info than what they got. So let me get this straight.... You know about this forum but you care so little about looking knowledgeable that you did not join the forum to soak up the info?

If I ran a dealership (I am a business owner) I would join the site and hold meetings/communicate what I learned and strongly suggest they join the site to do their own homework.
