Fuel Pump Relay location?

Where is the fuel pump relay? I failed to find it in the service manual.
Considering pulling the fuel pump relay if I stay at a motel on a road trip, for peace of mind.
Kill switches are easily found, and thieves are more likely to carry spare fuses than fuel pump relays.

Integral to the engine bay fuse box I believe. Pull the starter fuse, 18 I think, under the hood. Doubtful car thieves will have these new style fuses with them.

To get to the fuse box under the hood, entry to the car would be required. Someone this aggressive would be just as likely to drag the Bronco on to a trailer and haul it off. Probably easier also.

Currently, our penalties for breaking the law are very lenient….(a serious joke). More stringent penalties, crime goes down. Funny how that works.

The relay may only be for power to the fuel pump control unit. Newer vehicles are Pulse With Modulation (PWM), fuel pump directly powers it. Maybe try the crankshaft position sensor if it’s more accesible? I’m not sure if either out would set a CEL once it was back running though.

There’s a 30A fuse for the fuel pump control module, you could pull that and see if it’ll work.
