Dont know who you talked to, but literally none of that is true.

Both of my trucks were driveway parked due to length, and down here in South Texas we get dust, pollen, lots of bug splats, hard water, you name it. I would run both those trucks thru the wash at Buc-ee's and they come out the other end gleaming.
exactly. The ceramic protects against anything that doesn’t cause scratches. I still use a water spot remover on occasion but my coat is 2 years old and still holding up well

Fantastic! Got my bronco coated about a week after purchase. I got lucky and my rig was built and shipped without going to dirt mountain. It looked great day one, but the ceramic coating really made it shine! Again, fantastic I say!

Just got back from having full paint correction and ceramic coating. Pictures don't do it justice.

Detailer stated it took quite a bit of clay bar work before he could start paint correction due to heavy contaminants on paint. My Bronco spent some time as a dealer mannequin, but that don't mean it was on display inside. Plus it may have spent some time on dirt mountain.

Man, that blue pops off there. Are you gonna match that ring on the wheels to the body? Either way, this looks great. Have fun in your toy.

Was quoted $4500 roughly in NYC
I don't know the difference between a pro job and a DIY ceramic coating. I went the Adams route when my Bronco was brand new. One really good wash job and polish (~3 hours) and then the ceramic coat on everything below the window level (~6 hours) and I was pretty satisfied with the results.

I also did the front windshield but that seems to have been a waste of time as it doesn't stop bug residue at all.

For me to spend a day vs spending $$$ was a good tradeoff, and not having seen a professional job next to mine, I am more than happy with my result.

Drove home in heavy rain last night after work and expected to wake up to the Bronco being trashed, but looks good even with no wash.

The windshield had been covered in bug splats from the week, but the rain seems to have washed it off (yes, the glass was ceramic coated as well)

I was a ceramic coating nay-sayer for years... finally gave in on my last new car purchase...paint correction as well. I was stunned at the amount of flaws that come out of expensive factory finishes... but a nice cut and buff made it glow. Then ceramic coating was final touch. A year later on that car and washes are a breeze (I dry it will my leaf blower). When the Bronco arrived, we did the same thing... with the same great result (and yes, the Ford paint is thin and needed a large amount of correction).
My detailer advised that I can wax every year to make the ceramic last even longer...but it is not necessary. That said, ceramic doesn't have that smooth wax-like touch... so give your coated cars a wax from time to time if you want that slippery feel. ;)

I had our new Expedition ceramic coated. After washing, I use HydroSpeed Ceramic Quick Detailer, by Chemical Guys. The paint finish stays super smooth.

This is the first car I've gotten a ceramic coating on. Unfortunately, I don't have a garage to keep the Bronco in on a regular basis, so I wanted a little extra protection.

I haven't had the chance to get any really good pics yet, but the results in person are amazing. And yes, this one needed a fair bit of paint correction as well.

I used Angel's Prestige mobile detailing, (714) 856-3862. Great guy to work with in Orange County, CA. Highly recommended... and No, I'm not getting anything for the plug.

Can’t thank you enough John - saved me about $750. I really appreciate it.

Met Dave this morning and dropped off my Bronco for ceramic coating. Just picked it up and they did a fantastic job. Even replaced my Badlands badges with the Bronco scripts and swapped out the chrome bucking Bronco for a matte black bucking Bronco.

For those of you located on Long Island NY this guy in West Islip is about half the cost of other quotes I got for ceramic coating In the area.

Got mine ceramic coated today and he did both the MIC top and the fenders. Looks good - came out a little darker imo. But not shiny at all.
