yes, but TCU has to be updated before I can update APIM further. I tried without it.

likely sleeping in the Bronco tonight
That’s what my dealer said
There is A LOT of modules needing updating according to him But he says aren’t necessary for the apim which he also says doesn’t show an update available

The APIM wont show as needing an update without pre-requisite packages updated. It was a 12+ hour marathon last night (and sucked ass).

Ford Bronco Fullscreen Apple CarPlay OTA Update Coming Soon! - Per Ford (Mike Levine) 16698970835003391398022368274060

I do however have full screen Android Auto.

But I have no idea what version of Sync I have technically, just that my "software is up to date".... LOL 😂

Although, I am running a release from 20 October 2022 based on the Julian date.

I had to update the Instrument Panel Control Module (takes like 8 hours alone). That was the secret sauce that allowed me to update the TCU.

An absolute pain in the ass.

So until all that OTA updates then we will never see the APIM update?

That was my experience. Or if there is one listed, it will fail.

So after a bit of research and a trip to the dealer, here is what I've found out that may be helpful.

Seems that a lot of batteries are not charged or not charging to over 95%.

Mine, after a year of having my Badlands (9/21) would only charge to 80%

The dealer replaced it under warranty.

And updated my Sync.

So now I've already have had 2 more updates in the last two weeks. An icon shows within 24 hours of the next and I just make sure the brakes on, lights are turned to off, doors locked and it updates...

Well, they partially updated it, but as long as the OTA updates are rolling in, you should catch up soon.

I am not sure if 22293 Rev 610 is the latest version of sync, but it's close... much closer than where I was (21145 rev 146). However, Ford was assuring me that I had the latest software every time I called them.

I hate liars.

According to the Ford Website, my sync version is 4.0.22294. I'm not sure if that 3.5.x or not. It says built in Alexa is pending activation now.

My dealer said... Nothing, he doesn't have anything useful to add.

Interesting. I will hook a battery tender up to mine and see if I can't get this sucker to auto-update.

I’m gonna turn the lights to off and lock my doors now. I always leave them on auto and the doors unlocked in my garage
