So... how did it go? Did you make it all the way through the 5GB APIM update for full screen carplay?

In process now. USB stick in and says updating but no idea how long.

Based on my experience - an hour, and I don't believe it ever said it was done. But when it came back up after the 10 minute "rest", I had full screen carplay.

pretty sure this is only for Mach-E during plugged in charging scenarios. This won't happen for us climate changers...

oh once it’s possible to enable we’ll be able to fool it into running I’m sure.

Congratulations! And is that the 2nd successful VXDIAG VCX Nano install?

I believe it is, I don't want people to be spending $500 for an adapter if they don't need to. At $120 the VCX Nano is a bargain (provided you don't get a bad one).

Your Ford dealership should do it for free if you are under warranty. If they try to tell you that you are running the latest software, bring receipts and screen shots.

All you have to do is tell them that FDRS says that your modules are not up to date. If you they can show you that your modules are up to date in FDRS, then I would believe it, otherwise they need to update it.

Saw the expand arrows on the top left side of the Carplay screen as I drove into work this morning. App notification from Fordpass notified me the update occured.
