this regression sucks. it worked on my way to the dealer for the front driveshaft recall. got notifications of the updates at the dealer. on the way home no speed limit display in dash.

I only tried it with Apple Maps, have you tried it with the built-in NAV?

I don’t know how it behaves with the built in Nav but none of the other map apps work.

The full screen CarPlay is nice but the navigation is glitchy. It's not a fluid motion like the built-in navigation. Not sure if it's always been like that as I rarely used it since it was only half screen.

ETA: It works perfect when a destination is entered. Smooth fluid movements and no starting / stopping. But when there's no destination entered it's still glitchy. Starts and stops.

Same. Very glitchy and jerky. Definitely wasn’t like this before.

Since I got the full screen update a week ago I’ve been having issues with CarPlay inconsistently connecting. I often how to power cycle the Bronco a few times to get it to connect. My iPhone 12 is on the latest version of iOS.

Anyone else having this issue?

Same thing. I removed my phone from sync and the bronco from my iPhone and just redid everything. Working well the past few days but time will tell.

Great update for maps…

This happens to me too. Switch to a diff app in CarPlay. Then completely close the maps app on your iPhone. Then open it again on sync. Should be fine now

ok - here’s what I know:
Update came in as I was driving. The 12 inch screen went black - I thought it had broken. The system just shut down. A bit later, maybe 20 seconds, while still driving, it fired back up. I got the horse logo while I was still driving along. Then BAM, there were the expand screen arrows on CarPlay to go full screen.

I don’t connect to Wi-Fi, I have never set the emergency brake in this car, it sits outside in the cold, and have never put a battery charger or maintainer on it. I do have the update schedule set in the car for any weekday at 3 AM.

It’s a 22 with a Feb 22 build date.
