Installed it yesterday on a 2018 Lariat and poured in 2 quarts to make sure it drains before adding my 6 quarts.

It works well

I am interested in something like this for the 2.3L I4. would be great to have a hose connect and drain into my recycling container directly. Bonus if it also makes it possible to drain without having to drop a skidplate.

Never really saw these before.

the 2.3 has a metal oil pan and Fumoto has an application for it. I had it on my RS.

I was told beta is for 1 year and then the product will come to market. Not ideal as I know deliveries will begin soon for some members.

When are they looking to release this?

How does one even get approached to beta test stuff? Purchased an item from them previously? I think I heard someone on another thread whose going to beta test a bumper. I don’t know the right people lol.

I actually called them before Covid and emailed them about producing a plastic drain valve for Ford’s plastic oil pan. So I guess they remembered me.

and yes I have used their valves on multiple cars so I think I am on their mailing list

For those who are skeptical about this product PLEASE PLEASE keep your comments to yourself. Also, this thread is not for debating why Ford is using a plastic oil pan vs. a metal oil pan. Again, I just want to share my experience.
So, you put this on a message board and expect to control the conversation... BWAHAHAHAHAHHAAHAHAHHHAAA!!!

Just a quick point of clarification about your use of the term "plastic" when describing the 2.7L EcoBoost engine's oil pan. "Plastic" oil pans are technically made of a composite material of high-temperature, fiberglass-reinforced thermoplastics (e.g., GE Plastics' ULTEM amorphous thermoplastic polyetherimide or "PEI" resin).

People often assume "plastic" means non-durable, when that is really not the case with composites. Composites are typically chosen for mass reduction (40-60%), damage tolerance, ease of manufacturing, elevated thermal resistance (e.g., hot oil), high strength and stiffness, dimensional stability, and corrosion resistance (e.g., road salt).

See my 2nd post above. Installed it yesterday on my 2018 Lariat. Works like a charm.

The sting goes away. lol. Especially if you have done an oil change with the factory yellow plug.
