Fun Speculation on the 12th Paint Color...

Ford has pretty much added a 12th color capacity to their production line with Lightning Blue. Because the FE (to be produced first) can have any of the 12 colors, what's to stop Ford from adding a 12th color that rotates every year with Lightning Blue being the first color?

If this is possible, what colors do you want to see rotated?

For me, it's Green.... duh.

Also, there was a hint to this being a possibility with rotating paint colors by Mike.

If they added green, the choice would be simple for me. It’s totally possible but it’ll probably be a color they already offer on other 2021 Ford vehicles... or ANOTHER shade of blue!

First, Lightning Blue is an outgoing color across the company. Velocity Blue has replaced it across the rest of the lineup. The only reason it's being offered on FE is because there's enough left over to do a few hundred FE units, but not enough for an entire run. LB and the FE will disappear post 2021.

Second, Cyber Orange is likely the rotating color you're talking about.

There is literally nothing anywhere confirming this and plenty to oppose it. Wondering where you got this train of thought.

This is even from today's event postings. If you zoom and read, it clearly states First Edition's available colors: Area 51, Cactus Grey, Cyber Orange Metallic, Rapid Red.

My biggest complaint are the colors...not a single green option or any earth tones. I would give anything for a damn fde or army green.

Ford rotates their paint colors every year. 1-2 will go away and 1-2 will be added. They will also likely throw in a curveball where one of the first year colors will be a one and done. The color (my guess the yellow) will be on the 2021 and not additional years. The Molten Orange from the 2010 Raptor have never been repeated.

Haven't seen the entire flyer but from what you can see, that is for the Sport.

I'd guess Area 51 and Cyber Orange are the rotating colors. Worth noting that Area 51 is Bronco (and Bronco Sport) exclusive.
