It looks like a Honda Pilot! and pretty gross. I wonder why Stellantis is having issues?

Ugh! When will the government give-up this EV mandate? EVs are selling poorly. How in the hell do you go "off the grid" with an EV? You can only go so far and you have to worry about range to get back. Add-in camping gear or a trailer and now you're really limited. Carrying a 5 or 10 gallons of fuel is pretty easy and could get you literally hundreds of miles of additional range.

Yuck! Those exposed door hinges….
I can't believe those exposed hinges made it into the final design. I haven't even noticed the rest of the vehicle as I can't take my eyes of just how unsightly those hinges are. Simply awful design choice.

Man... This thing is hideous. Would love to hear the design team explain some of the choices here
I think the only two noticeably ugly things about it are the exposed hinges and the rear taillights. I'm guessing someone in marketing insisted on the exposed hinges so that everyone would know that the doors were removable like the Wrangler's, and the taillights have to look like that to ecompass regulations for side-marker indicators, brakelights, and being stationary/not mounted to the tailgate. The wheels also look pretty undersized, but I'm guessing they have to undersize them in order to meet the advertised range, a set of proper 33's would probably kill the efficiency. Everything else about it seems kind of "generically boxy offroader" like they put the Land Cruiser, Passport, and Defender in a blender.

I wonder if the hinges were left there to get the "I want a wrangler, but I want something more generic looking/better on the road. Ooooh look at this jeep that kinda looks like a wranger somehow" crew.

Probably they just didn't want to redesign the hinges since the doors are removable. They won't admit that and instead just address the issue with marketing: "We kept hints of the classic jeep heritage in our design".
