FYI: Post-purchase OEM Grille Purchases

Got my base/ black diamond grill in today to replace my existing big bend grill

But I had no idea that when you buy these grills from Ford they do not come with the letters (see below).

it’s no big deal for me because I’m gonna throw some @OracleLights on there but figured I’d let everyone know if you buy a grill from Ford you need to buy the letters too!

so the base and black diamond part number are the same, you just have to order the black or white letters to differentiate which I don’t have the part number for, but the grill is -
M2DZ-8200-AA

From what I saw when I watched an Oracle lighting install they have the little melted studs on the back of the grille you have to drill out to remove

havent taken mine off yet because waiting for letters I ordered from Oracle lights to come in, however I have seen that you are correct. The letters are not detachable.

It’s like they melted the inside of the plastic of the letters to get them to stay on. You have to drill out the melted plastic to get them off.
