Hey all,

I just traded in my Wildtrak and picked up a Bronco Raptor. On day 2 I noticed that the rear passenger side of my MIC middle panel has a pretty big gap that is not present in the driver side and not on my Wildtrak either. I tried to adjust the bracket to see if it would move it back to close the gap a bit to no avail. Has anyone seen this? I messaged the sales manager that I would be bringing it in in a week or so since the dealership is hours away but wondering has anyone seen this or had panels replaced?

thanks for any help!

It’s amazing they still can’t build these things halfway decent. Your gaskets are falling apart too. Good luck with the warranty.

Wow. How many quality control control stations did that pass? How did the dealer miss that?

Dunno but I literally bought it right off the transport. I asked them not to wash it since they would likely scratch the hell out of it.

Multiple choice:
A. Real Broncos don't have a middle panel.
B. The weight of the outrageous fender/flares is warping the body tub.
C. 6 grand hole shot from that motor while leaving the dealership has twisted the body/frame out of alignment.
D. MIC 3.0 for the BRaptors is a bust.
E. All of the above
;)

A. Biased lol
B. Can’t disagree 😁
C. Babying this motor til after 1k miles and an oil change
D. Third time is not a charm I guess 😜

Thinking out loud. Is the Braptor to the same as MIC 2.0? The wife has an OBX and I could swap the panel and try to pinpoint before I head to the dealer on Tuesday. I guess I should measure the dimensions

Just an update here. Finally had my service appointment. They called after a few hours and to my surprise they are ordering an entire new top. Stated it would be here in 3-5 days. Will report of this resolves this issue

Dam. Are they replacing the whole top front and back or just the panels?

They ordered the entire top. We’ll see what works when it gets here but I will definitely be on the lookout for mismatched panel coloring lol.

Update: And.... This didn't fix the issue. Dealer said can possibly be fixed by the body shop. The only thing I am thinking is that the middle brackets/brace may be improperly drilled and not to spec. I am going to the dealer to pick up my vehicle today and will ask them to order the bracket/brace to see if maybe it was drilled incorrectly. If it's not that it means the mounting points on the frame for the brackets are drilled incorrectly and off by .25". That said, one cannot move the mounting hole in the frame without creating a weak spot since its would only be a quarter inch difference. I'm really hesitant to have them adjust in the body shop for this reason.

This shouldn't be happening on an 80k vehicle @Ford Motor Company
