Can we please take a vote and quit calling early broncos "first gen" or "gen one". They are definitely early broncos or classic broncos. "Gen" anything sounds tuner car
Just curious, what tuner cars use "gen"? I've always heard them referred by chassis/body/vin codes or some other vehicle specific nomenclature, never Gen anything. Like mazda rx-7 was SA/FC/FD, not 1st gen, 2nd gen, 3rd gen. GTR/Skylines are R32/R33/R34/R35. Silvias are S10/S11/S12/S13. Even BMWs use E30/E36/E34/E39. And VW Golfs MK1/MK2/etc. I think I've actually really only heard american cars referred to by "gen" not tuners. Not trying to be rude or anything, just honestly curious where the "Gen" gets associated with tuner car.

Also, technically almost any previous bronco could be considered a "classic" bronco, many places you can register a vehicle as "classic" or "antique" if its 25yrs old or older, only a few years of the 90s broncos left that haven't yet hit that age.

they’re early broncos, they‘ve been called early broncos since at least the mid-90’s. They will always be just early broncos. To do anything else would be like calling the corvette stingray the Gen 1 corvette.

There’s no other substitute name worth using. The Gen # names can be for for ‘big’ Broncos if you must use that naming style.

Ya....that’s a no for me.

What do you think the G stands for on this forum? Ok to call 2021 Bronco 6th Gen or should we say Soon to be Classic Bronco in current production? If I say “Classic Bronco”(never once heard this term from serious person) what differentiates a ‘77 from a ‘78?

Please repeat after me: "I (state your name) do solemnly swear that my new Bronco will never reach this condition, so help me God."

Saw this sweetheart near the house recently. Had to stop by and get a closer look. A very nice older man with a chaw of Red Man (we're in GA) and a firm handshake met me in the yard, and said, Sure, have a look. Turns out this '69 is one of his many Bronco projects he's had over the years. He's taking parts from this one and building another Gen 1 that was in the yard. Also had in his shop a black Gen 1 on 40s with a bored-out 302 on a stand about to go in (sorry, didn't get pix). He also has a black Raptor and a black GT350 (new). Just made a new friend...
