Has anyone else had second thoughts on not getting Sasquatch package on Bronco?
Pricing seems high when you can do the same at lower cost. The wheel are bead lock capable which means you still have to buy aftermarket kit from Ford performance to do this. A set of 35" tires are that expensive. The shocks are not even Fox racing shocks. I have been trying to figure out if I want to do upgrades after getting Bronco.

Definitely worth considering going aftermarket.

Benefit of Squatch is:

1. It’s covered by, and won’t void, factory warranty.

2. It’s available immediately and pre-installed.

Both those reasons will certainly make it worth it to quite a few buyers.

No I have not had any second thoughts.

The M210 iron case front diff vs the M190 aluminum is just a non starter.

EDIT this is for anything but Badlands trim. If I were to get a BL, I probably WOULD pass on the Sasquatch package.

I've decided to wait on it. I'm getting a Badlands anyway so it's just suspension and tires.

I'll either buy whatever lift option becomes available through Ford Performance or go aftermarket. Both options will likely be more expensive than the Sasquatch package but will also likely offer more for the money.

For anything below Badlands, the cost to replicate it after the fact goes up exponentially. Lockers and gearing are not cheap and then you're dealing with aftermarket warranties.

Yeah I agree with you. The main selling point is upgraded strength front diff. It's just going to be some time before an aftermarket gets in there to build a stronger front diff. But as you know, the BL already comes with it.

The BL without Sasquatch is already better than I am driver so I'd be very happy with it, sans 'squatch

I'm actually considering the badlands minus squatch for the addl suspension travel. I'm certain aftermarket body mods, and lift will add enough clearance for 35s or better w/out sacrificing any flex. Theres a reason badlands has the best RTI score. Add that to mansquatch delays and manual badlands has all the goodies I want, and possibly a little better starting point for a badass trail rig...not that I think squatch lacks, but more flex is good!

I don’t think that you can upgrade the front axel, re-gear the welded in differentials, install front and rear lockers, purchase bead lock capable rims and 35” tires and a upgraded shocks for $5790 on the trim levels below BL.
Plus no matter what you do you won’t have the advance transfer case(Auto only) or the factory warranty.
If you go non-Sasquatch and upgrade the wheels and tires you looking at $2000.
It’s comes down to this for me : Is the Sasquatch package worth $3790?
Is it for you?

I don't really like any of the stock wheel options, so I'm thinking of changing from a WT (don't get me started on the interior) to a BL and passing on SAS, and then using that savings to buy aftermarket 35" wheels/tires.

only one really plausible is on badlands. but squatch is only $2500 on the badlands trim...

Can you get a 1" lift, new rims, new tires, (possibily) squatch fender flares, and new shocks for $2,500? Maybe. if you do the work yourself. You could surely recoup some money selling the 17" wheels.

Would only make sense to me if you intended to go beyond the sasquatch.

I might imagine it might be a few months before the aftermarket gets that sorted out?
Badlands has the Bilstein shocks. I believe the only things Sasquatch adds to a BL is wheels tires, and a small spacer lift (30mm I believe).

Please correct if I am wrong.

And the higher fenders. And 4.7 gearing if the B&P is wrong.

Forgot about the fenders. Those will be plentiful on the aftermarket. Easy swap.

Gearing is a whole other story though. Hope the B&P isn't wrong about that.

BL already comes standard with 4.7 gearing.

If you opt for the automatic transmission, then you'll need Sasquatch to get the 4.7

B&P shows the 4.7 gears as a no cost option on BL with auto

Not only do you get the warranty but you also get a suspension that was designed by Ford suspension engineers for this vehicle without compromise. I'm not saying that aftermarket suspension companies do not have adequate engineers, but anything aftermarket will be designed as an afterthought and is a retrofit. Just like swapping a V8 into the Bronco is possible, it will not be the same thing as a purpose-designed V8 from Ford. For this reason, I personally feel it is worth the premium.
