Getting a refund from Ford - returned bug deflector

So I ordered a hood bug deflector through Ford Accessories site (official Ford site). To be delivered to my local dealership for me to pick up. By the time it got to the dealership everyone on this site convinced me that if I put that thing on my REB Heritage, I would never get any ever again.
So of course I reconsidered, went down to the dealer and said I no longer wanted it. The dealer never handed the item over to me, just created a return (RMA) and said that once Ford got it back in their warehouse I would get my refund. They gave me a copy of the RMA. No biggie, right?
Six weeks later, still no refund. Called Ford customer service and they acknowledged they received it Jan 8. But I should wait a little longer as they were processing the refund. Call a few days later - no refund but they will call me in a few days. No call. Call again - now they give me a case number and say they are looking into it.
I say case number for what? They acknowledged they received it Jan 8! The customer service dood said he had no idea why. But they will email me in a couple of days. Never got the email. Call back - acknowledge my case number and they now say they are trying to contact the dealer to find out where it is. But, I remind them they told me they received it Jan 8! No answer to that.

So today I open a charge back request with my CC company. And of course the moment I do that I get an email from Ford saying they are looking into my case! I think this was purely coincidental, but the timing was amusing.
I don’t care what they are doing, I’m going to let my CC company get me my refund. Holy cr@p, ish like this makes you buy stuff off Amazon!
