good things here! I'll definitely have to get a set of good recovery gear and I really like those Element fire extinguishers mentioned here.
I won't have a winch until there's a better solution, best inside a bumper. But I also won't be anywhere where I would need one for a while. I'm also thinking about just have one mounted on a plate to attach to the hitch and get a bumper with front hitch receiver, so I can have the winch on either side if needed and leave it at home when I'm not out on a trail.

Air down tool and some kind of compressor to fill them back up, but won't be spending top $ on that for a while, I don't live close enough to any trails where I'd be doing this every weekend. If needed it would be a later addition.

Some extra lights will go on too, I don't really like light bars on top, so looking for other options eventually. little pods by the mirrors and maybe a bar on the front bumper and some light towards the back.

I'll also be getting the InReach or similar as I'll definitely be out of cellrange and by myself.

The rig is crazy expensive already, so I have to budget and buy carefully for a while.

Oh, need to get a new tent too.

Keep the ideas coming!

Life flight insurance, satellite emergency locator beacons, sat phones? You guys planning a trip across Africa or Tibet expedition?
I do alot of stuff my insurance guy would cringe over lol, life flight insurance can be used anytime anywhere weather permitting.
My buddy hit a deer on his dual sport and used his. I think you can give it to a family member too if needed.

I just spoke with Paul at Element Fire Extinguishers. I am familiar with Halotron which is a different technology, but in simple terms after you use it everything turns to gas and there's no mess to clean up. The Element is also mess-free, the discharge will not leave a giant (and expensive to clean up) disaster. The 50 second and 100 second are exactly the same and output the same material per second, the 100 just lasts longer.

One item of note, many of the mounts only work for the 50 but they are developing stuff for the 100 that will be out this summer. I plan to keep my H3R in the BMWs but get the Element in the Bronco seems like a great - and cost effective - solution. Much smaller form factor too.

I am confident they will have a mount for the 100 second ones before we take delivery of our Bronco's
;)

Isn't it expensive?!!! With the winch I'm just over $60K for a 2dr BadSquatch with Lux. However, I don't want to feel forced into suspension upgrades almost immediately.

Your logic on the winch and other areas listed here makes sense. Compressors are difficult decisions unless you go wheel very often. I sort of do already and will even more often with the Bronco and you find other uses for it, but still $$.

I have a winch now on an older 4x4 and use it for other guys more than myself, but I do over prep for wheeling. Recovery gear has always been my top priority since I'm not a mechanic. This Bronco won't see anything serious though for several years. I won't baby her, but there won't be much in the way of rocks in her future until I do upgrade the suspension after her 4th birthday. :)

Here's my current, WIP list. As this will be my first off-road vehicle - and the first I'll be adding any aftermarket to - there's a lot of stuff I need to get. We'll be keeping both of our current vehicles as well, so even basic stuff won't be moving over from my Nissan.

I've been trying to do a lot of research on what I'll need to prioritize, and I'm also trying for a reasonable quality/value balance. Cause this is getting pricey. (What I'm getting from Ford is around $1500, the rest is another $4400) If anyone has any recommendations on what I should re-think, please tell. (The Element extinguisher seems like an awesome, no maintenance alternative that takes up less space.)

You're going to need that load rating with so much crap in there on a constant basis!

FWIW, i've had very poor luck with NOCO products as have a few friends and some folks stuck in BRC. They are the darling of Amazon (which says a lot right there) but I was very grateful when the third warranty replacement at Batteries+Bulbs allowed me to switch to Panasonic brand trickle charger and jumpers. B+B here in the greater Seattle area won't even carry NOCO anymore due to excessively high warranty replacements (franchised ownership allows them to carry an array of brands if supported by their national office, as far as I understand their franchise agreements).

Very little of that will be on board on a regular basis. If I get into camping or overlanding down the road, then load rating is going to hit me hard.

I've done some searches and read some reviews, but there seems to be very little consistency in terms of which jump starters are supposed to be good. Usually I find some commonalities across recommended lists and the like, but not so much with what I've found so far. NOCO was at least consistently mentioned, but that could just be because it's popular.

Not sure if it's an issue on this type of vehicle but did you have a dead blow hammer on your list? Most of my cars, especially in the winter, the wheels get stuck to the hubs and need a good knock to remove them. Beats climbing under the car for a swift kick.

My Cannonball kit also includes a couple of reflector vests, a reflective triangle and some road flares. My nightmare is a roadside wheel and tire change at night, danger of getting hit by oncoming traffic.

I'm not very big on this guy's videos overall, but at least he has a multimeter to test with....

Which Car Jump Starter Is Best? Let's find out!

I have had one of these for a few years and it's had about 15 flawless starts up to and including decommissioned military vehicles turned into mobile party platforms in 120+ degree temps and stored in an trailer all year between uses.
