Wait, you’re saying the Bronco R is not engineered for performance first?
I’m pretty sure it was ONLY built for performance. It’s only objective is to race at Baja. It’s a ground up custom built race truck. It shares nothing with the production Bronco.
False, it shares the 2.7 eco boost engine.

Both of the aforementioned trucks compete in class 2. This means they both knowingly prepared the cars to compete in the same class against each other. Class 2 is "production" based, thus how a mid engine race truck, and a race prepped production frame Bronco are competing.

The race Bronco was prepped by Geiser Bros. It had to be fully caged, and reinforced. The radiators are in the "back seat" area. The body is composite. Its got 8-10K in shocks before mounts, straps, and tuning. The front control arms are fabricated race parts. It is about as far from a street Bronco as you can get.

I love how i am being crucified for talking about two RACE trucks prepped for racing the same class. I didn't mention Mercedes who also raced Class 2 because they basically raced a stock G wagon and blew the front end apart.

This the same forum with 15 cupholder/rear vent threads and 67 MIC top threads, should of seen how this would go.....

I thought I saw somewhere that the boot actually drove to the race, raced, and then drove home, that’s pretty f’ing amazing, how many race trucks can drive themselves to the race, no trailer needed.
2017 Raptor did it. - edit - I know they drove the truck home after the race. Don't think they drove it there. Either way... impressive.

Part of my point is just how varied the class is with regulations and such.

I am not here talking smack on the Bronco, in any trim. Just talking racing, and it wasnt much of one.

it sure seemed like you created this post to gloat about Gluckenhork spanking the Bronco - I fully expected your username or the link in your signature to go to their site based on your post.

I saw that clip earlier today.

The Boot is just a phenomenal vehicle.

Ford needs to up their race game, but this should serve as inspiration.

Competition improves the breed.

Top 3 fastest finishers were Ford trophy trucks, maybe they can up their Bronco race game, but I think their overall race game doing ok.

Ford did it a few years ago with the factory stock Raptor. Ran Baja, changed tires, drove it home to Dearborn.

The Boot is not a direct competitor with even the race Bronco, in my opinion. The Bronco is unfortunately not engineered for performance first. The Boot is. This is a fact.

Both teams made a great effort but the Boot is just a beast, and a marvel of automotive engineering. Truly underappreciated, and a value for the price. Underline my last four words. Value. The race Bronco is likely the same end cost or more, for less performance.

Congratulations,
Team Glickenhaus and Team Bronco
Garbage News, False Narrative! Wrong ball park.
Boot $258,750 USD, ex factory
I guess an F-18 Crushes Boot for speed!
