I'm trying to wrap my head around the GOAT modes and how they will actually work. I was looking at the chart below, which I know is based on assumptions and other vehicles, but it says a couple of other things that are confusing like:

1) "keep in mind these are only assists, and can be manually adjusted if you so choose".

Does that mean I can modify one of the modes to mimic Sport mode on a Badlands? According to the chart, there is no way to run in 2H on a Badlands with an open exhaust and tight steering. That would be hard to get past...but maybe I am missing how these systems work. Any insight?

*Chart was made up by another user, so I deleted it*

If it's anything like the Raptors, it'll be presets that you scroll to that alter settings for the columns listed in the bottom table. From there, you can then manually change a few things

e.g. if I went to Mud/Sand mode on my Raptor, it sets me to 4H, locks rear diff, sets Comfort steering, turns off traction control, and alters my shift points. I can alter from this default setting like toggle the rear diff lock off, traction control level, and steering feel

It's my understanding that on the BLs, select baja and then manually switch to 2H would be equivalent to sport.

Oh, that makes sense...as long as it lets you manually adjust to 2h and stay in Baja.

Negative. Baja and Sport are nothing alike. You will not like Baja mode on the street. Sport mode on the street is great.

Why would they make it different than the Raptor? The technology is the same...

In my Raptor Baja and Sport do not perform the same. Going to Baja and switching to 2H is not that same as Sport.

Looks like sport doesn't spool the turbos like baja. Baja is more linear power that gets in the power range much quicker and keeps the RPMs up when you need the power immediately.

Baja alters traction control to allow for more slippage on sand. You do NOT want this on pavement. In general, you don't want to use any of the off-road modes on pavement for this reason. Even mentioned in a video about the modes.

As far as we know right now, there is no way to easily replicate Sport mode on the Badlands. Only chance is if someone figures out a way to modify the settings (or unlock Sport if it's just hidden) through so sort of software trickery.

There will be some modifications you will be able to make to the PCM portion of the modes, one the PCM is hacked. Things like throttle response are tables available to customize the feel through aftermarket tuning platforms at owners warranty peril. I am curious if we will have access to other goat mode tables to trailer to our likings. Patiently waiting....
