I’m not in the market for one of these not an I an engineer. However, looking at this design I see too many connections and touch points on the vehicle that will loosen and or collect grit. That worries me. I also can’t imagine that the storage capacity is that much better than a rack with roof only mounting points…
I believe the Gobi has double the capacity for both static and dynamic load limits.

this and it gives us softies a roof rack option

i would have preordered already had I not measured my garage and realized it would be an inch too tall to fit

now considering modifying my garage

Please don’t tell me you won’t be like all the others and charge 5k for this new product! Being first to the market doesn’t you have to a stupid amount!

@GOBI Racks is this designed specifically to mount to the stock rear bumper or can it be used with aftermarket bumpers? (Wanting to switch to steel)

Mounts in between bumper and body panel. As long as any bumper you get does not pass above this line, you’re good

This is not “really” first to market as GOBI has been building these types of racks for many years. The Bronco design is almost a doppelgänger to the Jeep version. Prices have not changed much at all in years, so really a great value and no other rack competes in this category.

Thanks! One more question

The way I read your spec sheets, the rack is 8 inches above the roof line at the front, and 5.5 inches above the roof line at the rear, is that right?

Do I see a vertical bar coming down the back meaning it would be compatible with soft tops?
Looks like theres two spots where the pads rest on the hard top in the back corners you can see them in the pictures. It looks like there are a couple more maybe that rest on the very top too when you look at the pics from the rear. Im sure theyll come up with something or youll just not load it as much without those supports touching the top.
