You know what... those are two good choices. I've also liked the look of these wheels, and they w3ill be great under most on and off road conditions, but not necessarily rock crawling. Additionally, I like the numerous choices and styles you get with Black Rhino. Take a look. Most of the wheels at these three companies can be bought at around $275 to $380, each.

If you want to go rock climbing with your new Bronco, then you will change categories and pricing to get Bead Lock wheels from a specialty supplier. Now the typical pricing for a good wheel starts about $500.

When I was wheeling, forged wheels were it. I have Weld Stone Crushers on the EB. Looks like they don't sell them anymore. Shame... They never let me down while crawling the nasty stuff.

Weld still makes some nice beadlock wheels, but kinda pricey!

Those look nice OP but personally, I'm really liking the OEM available options. That's one thing I'll probably never change.

Mickey Thompson Classic III are about $185 each and give it a nostalgic look and not ultra-modern black 20" style. They will be my choice.

I don't like wheels that are designed for pickups on a light SUV.
They are too damn heavy.

Once you start going up in tire size and carcass thickness for better offroad performance, rotational weight skyrockets.
Rotational weight is what kills performance and drivetrain parts.
Adding unnecessary rim weight just worsens the problem.

Aftermarket wheels that are both lighter than the factory rim and have the correct offset for the new tires that you are upsizeing to will be uncommon.
But they are worth the effort.

Is there a particular weight we should aim for with say a 17" wheel? Seems like many of the aluminum off-road wheels I'm finding are around 27 lbs each.

I have had Methods on my FJ for 5 years. They were banged around through Western Washington interstate traffic, logging trails and beaches for 3 years, followed by New Mexico lava beds and gravel for over 2 years. Everything from city to highway to offroad, basically, and they still look and work like new. I am planning to get a set for my Bronco, too. The friend who recommended them to me had them on her FJ for a few years before me and still says the same things.
