This is the best video to date (IMO) that details the manual 6MT with Crawler Gear. FWIW - I think he does a very good job describing the character of various manual transmissions in different types of cars/trucks.

I am still not sure whether to get a Badlands with 33's or Big Bend with Sasquatch.....? Can't wait to drive one & I would not even consider the Bronco if it were not offered in a manual.

If so, I sure hope it can be disabled easily. It's obnoxious.
In my focus st, there was just a plastic tube that piped it into the cab from the engine bay. You can just yank it out or hook it back up if you wanted the noise again. Very easy but unfortunately there wasn’t a setting in the sync menu to disable it

i thought it was really interesting that he said that he enjoys shifting the bronco better than the JL wrangler. I love the gearbox in my wrangler - it's made by aisin and its a quality transmission and gearbox.

I was super pumped when i heard him say that he liked the bronco's even better. He even compared it to the focus st gearbox, which i absolutely loved when i had it. awesome video!

I had an FS Tune Stage 1 tune in my ST through which I had the sound resonator deleted, plus a bevy of other goodies done such as launch control, flat-foot shifting, air shutter open at all times when running, and of course more power and torque. It was a fantastic, safe tune for the ST.

I expect we’ll see very similar tunes being offered for the 2.3 in due course.

enough power from the wimpy motor to get childlike laughs, priceless

the piped in engine noise obviously killed the mirror whistle. :ROFLMAO:

Yeah, though with all the orange highlights in the Badlands, I'm glad I'm getting CO
Yes, if you like the Cyber Orange, that goes great on the Badlands. Frankly, I'd prefer they not bring the exterior color onto the doors. Some of them clash with the orange highlights. I was leaning toward black if I were to get a Badlands because of the highlights.
