Haha, yes, exactly. Those things had great low range but TERRIBLE ride quality.
Hi frinesi2, great point about ride quality, that is one of my key concerns. I will be using my Bronco as a 95% on road daily driver. For those of us newer to the world of larger tire sizes and lift can you please help enlighten us?

I like the look of the 33", 34" or 35" tires, my plan is to keep ride quality the same or ideally better then stock. I plan to buy 16" or 17" wheels in order to have the maximum amount of sidewall flex. Likewise I will go with a 6-ply load range C tires vs a 10-ply load range E tires, again to get better sidewall flex / cushioning.

So which, if any, of those choices would make my ride quality worse?
Which choices will make the ride quality better?
What affect would a lift, say 2", have on ride quality in light of the tire and wheel choices?

Really depends on width at that point. Anyone running 40's on the F150 raptor?
(not really up on them)

So BDS offers a 4" kit for the Raptor 37's recommended. the F-150 kit is 6" for 37's.

I thought Raptors had 37's on them stock guess they must be 35's Maybe Mr. Tuttle was wrong about a Bronco coming with 37's.

higher ply/ load range tires better for off road. They are tougher, but they don't have the greatest ride, it's usually stiff.

lower ply / load range better for ride quality but easier to puncture off road especially when aired down.

just some basics to start off, I'm sure smarter ones will chime in.

I doubt I will pay for package that comes with big tires, but i hope to be able to run 285/75/17s on stock wheels with no modifications.
