There was a thread on this issue that the coolent hose sits to close to the pulley and can rub threw you need to take a zip tie and move it away from the pulleyGot a whole 140 miles and this happens lol siiiigh. Hopefully an easy fix but no matter it’s still SUPER disappointing.. texted my dealer just waiting to hear back…
Dang, coolant is EVERYWHERE. UGH.
I mentioned it to my dealer as well. We checked under the hood and followed the coolant line. It appeared ok. But apparently I didn't look low enough into the vehicle. I was only checking the hoses at the top.. Going to check it out tonightMy dealer had no idea about this. I showed up with zip ties.
@flip report hasnt reached the Ford family residence yet.Damn! I was hoping this issue was old news but I guess Ford has not issued a notice to dealers to look out for it. Dumb.
This never gets oldDid you wax it?
Just wish I found that thread sooner! I was reading thru the post another member shared here. Def gonna take a look at that tonite when I get home…There was a thread on this issue that the coolent hose sits to close to the pulley and can rub threw you need to take a zip tie and move it away from the pulley
I'm holding on to my 1989 Toyota Pickup with only 105k miles for a while, for the same reason152K miles and goin strong honestly so glad I still have it as a back up right now!
lolMy wife just said that instead of sending out hammocks and flags that ford should send us zip ties instead
Me too. @Seanette and I intend to put together a kit of assorted stuff to take with us when we go to pick up our Bronco, and zip ties are among the stuff we'll take. We'll figure it out in more detail as the day gets closer.I'm bringing zip ties with me to delivery.
Patey’s awesome. Did not know he invented these - never heard of them but now I have to have some. Not a sales pitch but really useful in the zip tie dept- try Grip Lock Ties, invented for aviation to avoid damage. Rubber lined, removable and reusable. Find on Amazon or direct. Bonus If you want to see amazing aircraft being built by the worlds most positive guy look up Mike Patey(inventor of GLT) on you tube- when you get tired of Bronco videos of course
We’re zip ties suggested?
