*Pauses to hear the “ThIs IsN’t An AiRpOrT - yOu DoN’t NeEd To AnNoUnCe YoUr DePaRtUrE” comments*

Ok, I know there will be other smartass comments too, but that’s fine - I’ve earned those over the years on B6G 🤣

So today I traded in my beloved Bronco. I did truly love that vehicle, however it was time for a change - I need a vehicle that can tow/haul a lot more, but still wanted to have fun off-road. Alas, after lots of research I landed on a 2024 Toyota Tundra TRD Pro.

Amazing truck that has a lot of great features and options I’ll use, plus the styling of the Tundra is amazing. And in true @604Tundra Bronco fashion, I ensured it was still a moar door.

I love B6G and most of the people here, so I’ll still be around contributing where I can. We still share the passion for hitting the Starbucks drive-thru trails, so I’m looking forward to continuing to keep those connections here 🙂

Now excuse me while I buckle in for the trolling…

I considered getting the Tundra, only problem is Toyota didn’t make the grille big enough (I have horrible taste and need attention)

I am not a fan of the “Code Orange” either. Last year the Tundra came in “Solar Octane,” which is like a neon orange - yikes. Thankfully the “Terra” colour is a darker orange/brown mix, and really changes depending on the light.

I wasn’t a fan of it either when I first saw it, but it quickly grew on me. I’ve had a lot of compliments on the colour these past few days as well. Still may not be your thing, but that’s fine. There’s Bronco colours I don’t like either, but that’s the great thing about having a choice :)
Dude I was in upstate New York and thought of this post and your choice. Boom right in front of me was a TRD pro Sequioa (which is basically exactly what you have) and I see why you would do it.

People here won’t admit it but fit and finish of that is better than our Broncos though it’s not an apples to apples comparison (removable roof , doors etc).

Your new truck has great tech and is great pick.

After seeing equivalent vehicle in real life I get your choice.

Enjoy it dude!

That TRD Sequoia is a serious automobile, and the hybrid/Imaxx is quick and the fit and finish is undeniable especially after owning a soft top.

The bug bit me too, @604Bronco I picked up a 24 4Runner TRD Friday.

I couldn't pass up on a solid 43k trade for my 2023 OBX with 10k miles.

I'm keeping my eye on the 6th gens.

There's alot of folks getting off of the Bronco train. I'm happy with mine other than the occasional Android connectivity issue. The 100k article was a bit alarming having to replace the engine at 92k. I have the 2.7L so maybe I'm in a better situation. If mine fails I'll be dropping in a coyote. Lol.

You know not what you’re in for.
Good thing @604Bronco was such a low key and agreeable soul with thick skin.
But kudos for stepping up as the token Canadian punching bag.
As long as we keep it from @Tricky Mike and @HotdogThud you'll avoid 80% of the shenanigans.
lol looking out for my fellow cannuck - even if he bailed on us
as far as thick skin goes......if you know anything about hockey franchises I am a Leaf fan. I'm used to taking shit from complete strangers.

hint -the leafs have won the 2nd most championships in the NHL.......but have not won since 1967

Not surprising, when you hit the 3 year mark, even people who loved their choice often want to move on to something new and different. Life is short and all that, as opposed to people who want to keep their ride for as long as possible.

To each their own. I knew the towing limitations when I bought my Bronco, which I why I also bought an F-150 to cover my towing needs.

yeah - if only the bronc had better towing specs. When i get back into a travel trailer I will see where I am at, hopefully I can keep the bronco and get a proper tow vehicle. For now my Bronco named Barry is my go to!

All Broncos should not have better towing, because it's in direct conflict with rock crawling.
But, but, but ...

But it would be really easy for Ford to slap on a different suspension, slightly bigger rims to accommodate bigger brakes and weld on a hunk of metal to better support the hitch.
And they could have an overlanding, outdoor sports trim that would absolutely be in demand.

And on that note, I'm really surprised that no 3rd party company isn't going after this market, if Ford won't.

I mean, it is an SUV, right?
