Gorman Hungry Valley - open or closed?

Has anyone gone recently? I just called it says closed. Dont wanna waste a 2 hr drive if it is really closed.

The state park Websites and phone numbers are pretty accurate to the current status.

" GORMAN — California State Parks today announced the partial reopening of Hungry Valley State Vehicular Recreation Area (SVRA) on Friday, Nov. 1, nearly four months after the devastating Post Fire tore through more than 10,000 acres of the park and forced its closure. Some restrictions on admission and vehicles are in place as the park continues to recover from the wildfire damage. "
