Sometimes I wonder how people can get so wrapped up in conspiracy theories and internet paranoia, but... here you go. Easier to believe that someone invented an account and an elaborate lie JUST to come on this forum and get under your skin, than to believe that he either actually got a VIN, or there was a miscommunication. lol it's a toxic mentality. Not everyone is out to get you. How about giving a "that's cool! keep us updated if it turns out to be legit!" and moving on?

You probably want to give your dealer a call if that's your build. That portion of the VIN you provided specs out as a 4-cylinder.

Ugh it took me way too long, but I found the decoder ring! Now anyone can make up a VIN number!

Side note, advanced 4x4 counts as AWD, while the basic version is a true 4x4!

Sadly, the one for MY22 isn't published yet. There Heritage edition is already there though!

EDIT: My dealer just called, said they are giving me a priority order. Asked if I wanted to customize my VIN. I asked for, and received "A BOOBS"

EDIT 2: I called my dealer back and asked for "D BOOBS" if it wouldn't be too much of a handful.
He said sure, no problem, and have my trade-in ready for the end of the month.

I would like to believe VINS will be given to retail orders next week...do you have some good info on that?

This probably explains why the VIN provided didn't match his build as far as the engine.

I 100% believe this Mike's post. I suspect he might work at Laird Noller (you don't have to confirm). All I know is that as much as I hated living in Lawrence for 3 years for law school, I didn't have single instance where someone lied to me in kansas. Even the car salesman were honest to me in kansas. I might have stayed in kansas if it wasn't for the weird alcohol laws (Sundays and 3.2% beer).
