It sounds like you didn’t know what you were buying. Also there are plenty of engineering flaws with the 4Runner made even worse by the length of time it has been in production with no major changes/upgrades. It’s not a fair comparison between the two. You should be talking about vs an explorer or Jeep GC. Removable doors and roof vs a fixed roof and door is not even close to apples to apples. It like comparing a gt350 to an accord coupe. They both are sporty and have 2 doors but that’s where it ends.

Honestly from my point of view, the doors are not easily removable so they are not removable, I mean they give you the option to remove them, but I can also untighten bolts on any car to remove my doors teh design is poor and needs to be improved, removable doors on a Bronco in my opinion is a marketing gimmick ...

What kinds of problems did you encounter when you removed yours?

I'm being real guys and gals as I read posts on this forum its all too positive with a hint of negative, there are issues with the bronco as with any car, or product, I feel its important to elucidate BRONCO BRONCO BRONCO I told that to my dealer once and he got upset ! Have you guys seen the wire harness in the bumper for the reverse sensors OUCH !

All brands have their issues. Ask me how many times I had to take a Toyota in for a new airbag

I sold my kayak to help pay for my Bronco. While the bronco is nice, it's ability to get me out into the ocean really is subpar, and the fact that this has not been brought up before is certainly something that Ford overlooked, making my other kayak that I still have such a better vehicle!

Another way of putting the point is that the price you pay for the possibility of confirming your authority is the outside chance of being discredited. "I know what I like," we are all prepared to insist, "and I know what it's like to be me!" Probably you do, at least about some matters, but that is something to be checked in performance. Maybe, just maybe, you'll discover that you really don't know as much as you thought you did about what it is like to be you.

I love my Bronco nor would I change anything about it. I knew what I was getting into from day one. It’s not a luxury car nor is it really anything like a 4Runner. To me, you are comparing apples to oranges really. By the way, my SAS BL’s ride is awesome and the MGV is legit.

The Bronco is not refined. Luxurious? I have a loaded BL but it's still a bumpy, noisy off-road vehicle first and foremost. And it's way more fun than the "refined" vehicles I had before it. I was just having a goof at you calling a 4Runner refined. Enjoy your Bronco...or don't. It's not for everyone and it's far from perfect. I'll keep enjoying mine!

Can anyone explain to me why above the step and on all Broncos I have seen where the body mates to the frame at least where it can be seen, there are silly holes and an unfinished horrific look ? I mean it looks super janky, I'm thinking of putting some trailer park lights down there on a strip to cover that area and make it look respectable. Anyone else noticed this ?

Get rid of them, they look shitty for starters. The GoRhino steps I added hide those pinch welds. Ill add photos.

wonderful to know, love the color you chose for the bronco, take the sticker off at least, Go Rhino stuff IMO makes thecar look cheap, the bronco steps are OK they need to stick out more, I like the look and thebronco logo, I am actually going to be making a set of steps out of bronze or copper tubing, so it will patina over time and look gorgous

Practically speaking - the Bronco sucks! I mean it you could assign negative or lose points for practicality I would think the Bronco would be in the red.

The Bronco is a compromised vehicle. All vehicles are trade offs and a balance of what is important to the owner of said vehicle.

The Bronco has amazing off-road capability - in some trims better than a Wrangler. It has the top down, doors off fun factor. It has the retro cool looks, and it pushes the envelope on off-road capable vehicles technologies and capabilities.

The Bronco legitimately comprises EVERY other aspect of driving a vehicle.

It still floors me how surprised people are by the rawness of driving a Bronco (especially with a soft top). Buy a severely compromised, task specific, vehicle and try to make it a daily driver....of course you will be disappointed.

The 4Runner sounds like it's more up your alley long term.

I bought mine as a daily driver. It's exactly the vehicle I hoped it would be. Actually just a bit better, which surprises me. All that said, if you're looking for a plush, super quiet, luxury mobile, this ain't for you.

I can remove and install all the doors in under ten minutes each way. And I’d pay money to see you remove your 4Runner doors as easily. Between the hinge bolts and the door check then factor in the wiring harness. The bronco doors are hardly a gimmick to remove.

And I think the more relevant point is, reinstallation of the door after removal. Good luck holding the door in place while you attempt to reinstall bolts on doors not designed to be removed.
