I know this isn't the first or in any way unique from anyone else that's been test driving these but though I would share.
First night with it was great. In cabin noise with the soft top is noticeable but I don't think it is any louder than my previous 7.3 powerstroke trucks when driving down the highway. It is much easier to get into and out of than I expected. Most jeeps I've been in have the higher tub on the side where as the Bronco is almost completely flat. Ride was nice, soaked up bumps on the street better than anything I have ever personally experienced. The little 2.3 and 10 speed seems like a perfectly fine powerplant, it never felt underpowered when merging or cruising. The only issue I've had so far is the android car play would skip very bad when playing music on Spotify but I think that was an issue with my phone. Top is extremely easy to take down. A friend and I did it in less then 5 minutes having never messed with one or watched any videos on how to do it. I wasn't able to full close the top in my garage however. I can get it to the halfway position but it hits my roof when trying to flip the top the last time. It's minor inconvenience but something worth noting. I put our rear facing car seat in the passenger side and I was able to sit in the front seat very comfortably at 6'2" 250 i was pleasantly suprised. It is also smaller than I thought it would be. It fits in the garage next to the cobra fine, maybe more room than my wife's fusion had.

Took a half day to get as much drive time in as we could the next full day. Put about 200 miles on it in the day I had it. Never encountered any issues and got to play with the top, doors and a few of the GOAT modes a bit more. Tried using the trail turn assist in a gravel lot and grass field but think I was being a sissy with it cause it didn't work great. I bet I had 50 people stop and ask about it. 1 month old chilled in the back for about 5 hours so it passed the kid test. There wasn't a single time the 2.3 felt underpowered, adding 35s without re-gearing may create some sluggishness though. Top is super easy to take down and can be done by yourself in less than 5 minutes. Road noise never felt over whelming and I don't think it would be an issue even on the longest of drives. Doors were super easy to take off. All that was needed was a 13mm wrench or socket, I used a ratcheting wrench. This did have the door bags in the back so when I took them off I put the bags over the doors and used the carry handles. This one had the upgraded leather trimmed seats and carpeted flooring, I wish it had the MGV and rubber floor because that is what I had originally planned on specing on mine. I took a few pictures comparing it to my lifted xj on 35s, it is almost the exact same size. Bronco is just a few inches longer.

Thanks for the review and the comparison pics! How did you get to keep it for so long? After the test drive, are you still buying one? Are you getting the 2.3 or 2.7?

It's great to see it next to a lifted XJ, as my Bronco will more or less be replacing my old Cherokee.
I daily drove the XJ for 6 or 7 years before retiring it to trail duty. I think the Bronco should fill its shoes nicely. I may keep the jeep as a toy, considering how rough its condition is these days....

I had been trying to do a regular test drive for a few weeks at local dealers but non panned out. This particular dealer I had an appointment to drive last Friday but they had to cancel because it was loaned out to the service department. They emailed back saying it was available again but I told them my schedule was a little tricky trying to get my wife and baby up there so we could see how he fit. They offered to let me keep it overnight so I left work early Thursday to go get it.

I am still planning on buying one if we can ever configure our order. I reserved late on July 14th so it didn't go through until the 15th. I've been a priority 99 since April. This is supposed to be my wife's dd to replace her 16 Fusion but I am definitely more excited for it than she is. The plan is to order with the 2.7. I would like to keep this a while and I can't leave well enough alone so i know it will end up with 37"+ tires at some point. The 2.7 also responds very well to tunes, once the warranty is up of course

Mine is more or less a toy. I drive it around town when i'm not going far from home. Keeps the miles off my truck. But the main reason i keep it is similar. It doesn't cost anything to keep and I have a blast with it on the trails. I like to think i'd make a few trips with the jeep and Bronco but chances are that will change when the payments start.

According to my F250, that would be way too damn loud. 😲

I mean I guess it's all subjective but i wouldn't expect something with glorified bed sheets to be silent inside.

I had a 2000 and 2001 ccsb 7.3 powerstroke and while not quite by any means I did a lot of road trips in both and noise wasn't an issue that ever came up. I equate the Bronco to that. Sure it's a little noisy but you can carry a conversation at normal volume and not have to blast the radio. Of all my vehicles the Bronco is louder than my wife's Fusion and my 15 6.7 f350 but much quieter than my xj and world's more quite than my Mustang.

Maybe I went into it with lower expectations than most people too.
