TIL that in Bronco6G.com, the word pre-production is not understood or observed.

A big part of this is expectations, right? If you expect something to be solid, and then it has flex, it doesn't meet your expectations.

That said, my experience with the center fan handle left me feeling not that it was flimsy, but that it does have more flex where it mounts than I expected. I didn't feel like it would break, though, unless I made a point of trying to break it. In normal application it isn't going to get extreme side-to-side stress. Most of the grab handle application will be forward/back with some side-to-side.

Bottom line, it has some flex. I think you'd have to work real hard at it to break it.

The lower grab handles of both Broncos had a lot more wiggle than the dash grab handles. It felt like more than just flex in the plastic, there was lateral movement at the base of the handle despite the Bronco Bolts being tight. I know these cars have seen a lot of use, but they can't be more than a month or two old, right?

What does a month of tire kickers like me grabbing it translate to in years of normal wear and tear? I plan on keeping mine for a long time so I thought that was worth documenting. Still that was the only complaint I could come up with that I hadn't learned about on the forum already and as other have pointed out it's pretty trivial.
Thanks for the additional insights.

My comment on the wear and tear over a month or so is significant. It would be going through much rougher usage in the short period than it would normally see. Plus it's still a pre-production. From some of the videos I've seen, some folks are trying to rip this vehicle apart. I do appreciate testing the quality, but just think if everyone cycling through this vehicle does that.

That grab handle is absolutely worthless as an actual grab handle due to its location and flimsiness. I look at it as an accessory point they threw a worthless grab handle on for starters.

One of the aftermarket people on here has already stated (months ago) that they are making a billet aluminum replacement for that.

You all need to cancel your orders due to this issue. Show Ford you mean business.
This! ^^

Particularly if you are in the Southeastern United States, specifically TN.

I can't remember.... I did a quick search on here and didn't see the post. But I remember reading it a while back. Only post I found was a 3D printed metal cover for the current handles (at least that's what it looks like), sorry.

I'm adding one of these:

Ford Bronco Grab bar is flimsy 1620658760501

BTW: I'm sure the design similarity is not coincidence, another Easter egg.

Ford Bronco Grab bar is flimsy b8e041d2-f572-4ca1-af46-883cedc3c62aorca-image-

That flimsiness is due to one side being half welded and thus allowing wiggle room.

Any ideas anyone how to prevent it from moving?
