So, I have had my Bronco about two weeks. My wife is 5'4 and even on the base model has difficulty getting into the vehicle. The grab bar locations are not conveniently located. I looked at added one above the door, but Ford has added side current air bags there.

Does anyone have any ideas for alternatives?

Maybe some paracord ones that wrap around the roll bar?

The roll bar above the door has the air bags in it. Wanted to avoid causing a problem with them.

I was trying to hold off on the steps until someone comes out with a frame mounted one.

They sell velcro ones too. That shouldn’t interfer with the deployment of the air bag.
If you wrap the roll bar you will not be able to close your windows, the window slides into the sport bar to close.

She has a full knee replacement due to early onset arthritis. She struggles with it. I am about to go from 30s to 33s on my base, so it’s just going to be harder for her.

Going to bigger tires so... you like to see her struggle. :p

There are going to be a lot of options, let us know what you end up getting!

I've been thinking about this. There are two screws above the airbag area as shown in this picture. Do you think a rope handle could be attached to one or both of these screw locations. If made with rope it shouldn't interfere with the airbag deployment.

I’ll see if I can make this work.
