This. Why people wait until their Bronco shows up to figure out price protection and line up their ducks is beyond me.
I did. I have emails from Granger in January confirming I qualified for price protection, the $2500 PCO and the $2k under invoice. Not sure why I’d assume they were wrong and start doing their job for them.

Congrats! You already did the hard part by calling Ford and navigating their horrible phone system.

Yes, a valid certificate number is your ticket to Ford price protection. You’ll be asked to provide the certificate number during the purchase process. It’s as simple as that.
I spoke with Ford Marketing. Super nice guy. But he said it’s basically up to the dealer to confirm the certificate details, and I’ll have to work through the system with them to correct my address.

Strange as it may seem zip code means everything and its not just Ford. Often rebates and discounts are tied to zip code and it can be significant. Contact Ford and see if there is anything they can do. You still got a great deal. You could flip your Bronco and make $10K if you wanted to. I was on October Grainger reservation holder as well, but I bailed when it looked like I would never get my Bronco. I ended up ordering with a local dealer for MRSP and got it three months later, going soft top did the trick. Nothing against Grainger, they get a lot of praise on here -- I was in a situation where I needed a vehicle and being #600 on their list didn't look good.

Good work. I assume that is about the same time you called Ford and confirmed your rebate certificate numbers and amounts?

Is that something that was told to us by Ford or explained by Granger? If not, how are people supposed to know that? Ford FAQ’s regarding these offers specifically say to contact your dealer to confirm eligibility, which I did.

If there is one thing Ford is consistent with, it is inconsistency. Best of luck getting everything resolved.

I called Ford marketing and asked for my certificate number. They had nothing using my current address, but using the zip code from where I lived when I originally placed the order the cert came right up and was for the exact amount I calculated using the flow chart found elsewhere in this forum.

I don't have all the details but Ford is the one who issues the certificates, the dealer can only confirm they are there. Granger is not withholding this, someone at Ford is feeding you crap. I don't know if the rep has the authority to fix this or if it's even possible at this point but this isn't a case of trying to work the system for additional rebate. Either way, Ford is the only one that can fix it at this point otherwise Granger, or any other dealer, would be eating it.

This is a crappy deal for all parties except Ford. Granger and Zach are first class based on my interactions with him, it's Ford who is being the tool. This is just another one of the ways Ford hangs the dealers out to dry. God knows we've gotten hosed on rebates in the past because of some stupid technicality and it's no fun to eat hundreds or thousands of dollars. I hope this gets resolved but I think you need to try and get to someone at Ford that has the authority to look at the situation and fix it.

My delivery ETA is May 5-10 to Granger and I've moved as well.

Called Ford Marketing Dept at 1-800-334-4375 and within 5 min they gave me the "Private Offer Certificate Number" and confirmed the amount. They let me know I'd need to tell Granger it's under the old address.

Seems like this a simple communication issue that isnt in the dealers control but can be resolved by contact ford? Granger has allot of respect on this forum. Like allot. So posting something like you did is going to get you allot of flack before it gets granger flack. Just an fyi.

To be abundantly clear, and speaking for myself only. I’ve never had a bad interaction with Granger, and this will be the first of many purchases I make with them because of it.

I’ve emailed with both Samantha and Finance today to preemptively correct my own address issue, and I’m left feeling confident they are doing everything in their power to resolve. I won’t have an answer until mine arrives (hopefully by the 10th), but again top notch communication from them

Just to add another data point. I am not buying from Granger but from Chapman. I also moved during this whole process. I called Ford and they found my certificate under my old address and gave me the number and amount. They said I would need to work with dealer to get address updated. I contacted Chapman and they said that they could not update address, but that they could request an exception with Ford for the address change on the certificate during the delivery/sale process. I have not taken delivery yet to see what actually happens.

So you were essentially able to take care of the purchase remotely ahead of time? I'm interested in this, because things have dragged out so long, I might be living overseas for an extended period when my vehicle arrives, and might have to send my 21year old son to pickup the Bronco. I want to avoid any issues with that.
I also was going to be living overseas for an extended period of time potentially when the bronco arrived (military deployment) so I had family lined up to pick it up. Granger prefers you take care of everything ahead of time anyways because they're really busy

I was in a similar situation, that I had price protection and moved once since my initial reservation. All I did was provide proof that I had lived at the first address and it was taken care of.

My opinion, I don't think granger is trying to "screw you".

My offer amount was lower than what was on the flowchart, essentially it was just Column A price protection. Did yours line up with what you expected?
