Hello everyone, quick question. I am considering on moving my reservation to Granger since the dealership close to me could not confirm the issue in regards to ADM. I reserved the Bronco on July 24th. I would really like to get a MY2021 ;), should I be worried about moving to Granger since they have so many reservations and there might be an issue regarding allocations? Thank you.:)

If it helps. I have a July 15 that I will forego for my October reservation. Thus bumping you up one spot :)

I would not recommend anyone move their order until ordering starts and we get the full picture.

Hola Grainger - I never did receive an email to get things rolling. Not meaning to nag, just fyi.
I wouldn't worry about that James. IIRC the system was a bit out of whack, and others didn't receive one either. I'm sure that @Granger Ford has your reservation in line, and ready to get you set up. As I understand they will contact us with an email approx. a week before it's our turn, and set up a time to call us and gather the particulars of our order.

Aren't vehicles typically delivered to the dealer on a car transport truck? That in turn is how Granger will be delivering to the end buyer. Ford needs to solve the same problem as Granger. Specifically, how to get the extra goodies to the purchaser when they won't all fit inside the vehicle. Once Granger knows how Ford will handle this situation, they would be in a much better position to determine the best way to forward the goodies on to the purchaser.
The DIO system Ford is setting up ships the truck from MAP to the dealer and then there are various warehouses that stock the accessories. Those warehouses ship the accessories to the dealer via FedEx, UPS, camel, pony express and maybe even carrier pigeon.

The dealer installed accessories do not come with the vehicle. They are shipped separate as @Used2jeep said. Sometimes they arrive before the vehicle sometimes after the vehicle. When i worked at a dealer it was sometimes a week or more after the vehicle arrived that the accessories would arrive. So keep that in mind.

That must have been, will certainly be, a major hassle, at least at the beginning, for dealers. Trying to figure out storage for all of the potential widgets that people want for their trucks. I can easily see some dealers doing the shipping container rental thing for a few months.

Ya the we had a giant warehouse that was used for part storage, But it was a GM deal so we didn't have to deal with tops or stuff like that but wheels and tires, Exhaust stuff. It will be a hassle for sure for the dealers that are getting tons ordered. But it could also not be to bad if they don't get like 10 delivered at once.

Will that even work? Not sure as a whole group that we're trustworthy. Someone will post a screen grab of some info they shouldn't be posting to the main forum. ☹
That would be a dumb move. You’d probably get banned from B6G and piss off your dealer all at the same time.

Granger,
What's your plan for dealing with reservations that are over your allocation number?
