I think the base grille better represents the original design.

Same here. I had intended to swap out my grill for a base but never got around to it.

I get that part because it’s a requirement. But why add them to a regular Bronco when they aren’t a requirement?

Why add 90% of the things people do to vehicles ?
Because they like the look and that's all that really should matter.

Personally I'm holding out for the 90's billet look ,lol.

Nice. Looks good with the surface surrounding the Badlands grille painted body color. What did that cost?
$440 to paint the badlands grill and letters. The paint shop had to purchase a new grill since they broke the original that came with the bronco when they were detailing it before pick up from the dealership. Since I was getting a new grill for free, I asked them to do a two-tone paint matched AMB and carbonized gray.

Been looking for good custom options and can't really find any I'd like to throw money on. But these Ford grills look great, so I'll throw my lot in with them.

Did you change the whole grille or just the letters?
The complete grill…$100 off eBay plus a rattle can of red paint from Ace…

Did you fabricate that or buy it? That is awesome!
Thanks it's a base grill with a piece of aluminum glued onto the spot where the Bronco letters were. Then the Ford letters were sanded to be flush with it because they are beveled for the 1G Bronco. I asked the paint/body guy to drill holes for the Blue letters so I could remove them if I wanted (they are designed to be pinned onto the 1G grill) and bought a set of Red letters if I ever want to swap them out. It was painted Argent Silver and the letters pinned on. The sides were painted to match the Eruption Green. Not as complicated as it sounds and please reach out if you need more info on where i got the aluminum, etc. - it was an internet site that did custom pieces, i think it was twelve bucks

Thanks for your response. I originally had a Badlands which I would have done something to modify the grille somewhat like yours. I traded it for a Braptor. So now I am conflicted on what to do with the grille. Plan A is have it painted gloss black and have the FORD done in Code Orange (the body color); Plan B is to have the grille painted Argent Silver with the same orange treatment for the FORD letters. I know there are folks thinking you should leave the Raptor fascia stock and I don’t know if the silver would like a tasteful nod to the original broncos or just plain odd. Thoughts?
