Figured it out. There is a specific spot on the matching ring you put the screwdriver blade and twist. You can see it with a flashlight.Lol, fair enough. Best of luck to you. I’m waiting on the blue mirrors, which I guess may get shipped in a few weeks. I’ll see if I can take a video when popping mine off.
I have a base. The mirrors will mount fine.
2 Problems i have are with the defroster wiring.
1. As mentioned before, the ford mirror defrost leads are thicker than the sumas. So when trying to attch the ford wiring to the suma leads they just fall off. You can bend the suma leads a little and this will make them snug
2. Once the leads are attached the mirror won't go on. The ford mirror leads attach in the top middle of the mirror. The suma attachment is in the top right of mirror. So the ford wiring is short by an inch or so to the new lead location.

So, i just put back on the driver ford mirror and I'll see if anyone else had the same issue or a solution
