My sentiments exactly. I don't hate critters, but critters gonna do what they gonna do and it isn't logical a lot of the time. I've munched squirrels slowing down because they run out of the way and then right back under my tires.

But this is the first bird I've pegged in 40 years of driving. I've had some close calls, but never actually hit one until today. And no, this experience isn't going to make me change my habits with regard to critters.

A baseball weighs 5 oz., so it’s understandable. But yeah… don’t hit a deer. Of course, most people will actually hit the brakes if they see a deer. You’ve got to be pretty psycho to brake for a dove...

At 16 I worked as a porter at a dealership. A customer once pulled in saying he thought he hit something and then smelled something. They make me look under the car and I found an entire pheasant jammed up there!
