Hardtop lift for garage?

My Outer Banks is hopefully getting built this week. It'll have a hardtop and I'm looking for recommendations on a lift to install in my garage. Appreciate any help.

I'll have mine completed tomorrow.

It's a manual hoist (as i dont trust the electric ones) and on a trolley system as I have a golf hitting bay in the garage so will need to pop the top then push it to the side.

I have it all built out and just waiting for the trolley arrival tomorrow. It's static now, so tomorrow it will be able to roll 10-feet to the other side of garage and i can keep in air or lower onto my trailer

Total cost $145

The other nice thing is you dont have to be perfectly parked under it laterally, as you slide trolley to match car position.

Given that current Ford pricing on hardtop components would probably put this item at $10k for replacement, I decided I didn't trust having it hang in the air, so I went with the rolling scaffold solution. The front panels will then go on the top shelf of the scaffold under the rear shell and I'm building a rolling cart to hold the center panel and doors.

I guess its your only choice if you cant hoist from the ceiling though.

I'm also a fan of the SmarterHome Hard Top Lifter!

I'm able to lift the top slowly and carefully off of the Bronco and also lower it slowly and carefully. I'm able to drive and park my Bronco underneath the top with the top off and suspended from the ceiling. I also keep the middle portion of the top on top of the rear shell. They have a mesh basket for the front two panels, but I keep those in the house. Installation was not bad at all. Just make sure you have a stud finder and some basic tools.

I love it..... here's my setup i just finished about $155 .

takes me 6 minutes to take roof off, by my self while talking through it

I have the Harken hoist as well, took 3-4 hours to properly install, but I'm also bad with instructions. For $160 plus $10 worth of lag bolts and some leftover 2x4s, I'd say it's worth it.

Nice. What is your ceiling height? I’ve been wanting to pull the trigger on a Harken, but my ceiling is only 9 ft.

9' here as well, and I'm 6'4" and can walk under it without ducking.
