Pure speculation here but... Looking at the B and C pillar braces on the Bronco Raptor makes me suspicious that body flex may be part of the issues with the hard top noises. If the body is flexing it could be very hard to keep the roof quiet. It seams odd to add the B pillar brace when they made such a big deal about not having it.

Its very easy to keep the hardtop quiet. The guide pins are just designed poorly. They need a insulating buffer between hard plastic and metal.
