HD Modular Bumper Steel Long Term

Hey Folks,

Question for you all. I love my HD Modular Bumper but also know it's steel and I live in IL (where the roads are salted). Long term I expect to battle rust.

What steps to peeps take to prevent rust on a steel bumper? I'm even thinking about taking off each bolt, greasing it, and popping it back on. Any other ideas would be most welcome.

Do whatever you plan to do with the steel floor pan, rockers etc., even if that means nothing. If after 10 years your bumper starts rusting, sand it down and hit it with a rattle can, or buy a plastic one for $50 off Marketplace.
