Thank you. One other question: Do u have any idea as to wbat has to be done to change out the switch. Does it just pry out , or do u have to disassemble some of the dash?

The only interior panel that needs to be removed is the one under the steering wheel. Then the switch just pops out

Yes, it does not show any bolts or screws to remove. Some models have 2 bolts on the bottom of that panel, so maybe just double check before you try and pull it off.

Yes.. Blue is the switch. Purple is the connector.

Here's a new one - this part (M2DZ-11654-GC) apparently ties into the ebrake system as well - if this part fails, the electronic parking brake no longer functions. Anyone else run into this?
