Heated Steering Wheel

I have driven a ton of Fords. I usually drive a demo unit and have noticed that my heated steering wheel on my OBX is not getting hot at all. Every other Ford or Lincoln that I have driven wheel gets very hot quickly. My service department seems to think it’s a default of the steering wheel. Has anyone had this problem?

When I first get in after remote starting, it's warm to the touch. This seems to fade as I drive. But, my hands never get cold again. It definitely doesn't burn me. If I turn the wheel off, I can feel the wheel temp cool off. For me, while not HOT, mine is set up perfectly. I usually forget that its even on.

Definitely doesnt get hot, but I am fine with it, the seats are another matter, they get damn toasty. I have never been a huge heated steering wheel guy and so take that for what it is. I guess if I didnt live in TX I would probably care more.

1. Scorched Earth
2. Singe
3. Usable

I turn mine from low to off within a minute of getting in after a remote start. My wife on the other hand spends the whole trip on Roasted Ass setting just smiling, happy and oblivious to the internal damage she's causing. Like a frog in a slowly boiling pot, happy as a clam....

yes. I start mine from my phone, by the time I make it to the vehicle, seat and steering are warm and BigSassy is ready to roll.

Hearing the heated steering wheel and wireless charging don’t really work is making me have buyers remorse on the lux package.
