It's been cool enough that I've used the heated wheel a few times. I've had heated wheels in my previous two vehicles, and they both got pretty hot, and pretty much all around the wheel. My experience so far with the Bronco has been that sections of the wheel seem to be sort of warm at times, and then won't be warm at all, and then maybe if I try to hold some other places the warmth will have moved. But it's never like enough warm to warm up my hands, its just not cold.

Anyone tried the heated wheel that can share their experience? Should I have this looked at or is it supposed to be like this? And if the latter, are there any settings\FORScan\whatever that could potentially make the heated wheel actually useful?

TL;DR version: OP wants to know if you can cook an egg on the steering wheel.

Following. I have a heated steering wheel in my RAM. It's nice when I have to jump in at -30 degF, but otherwise it just runs too hot for comfort.

I like the temp of the heated wheel in my Bronco, I think its perfect. Warm enough holding the wheel to be comfortable, but not burning my hands. I think there are some 'hot' spots and 'cold' spots in the wheel, but its been great for me.
The wheel in our Explorer is like touching Satan's ass...I never use it bc its just not comfortable. Although my wife likes it...I am sure there is a joke there somewhere...

This is how I would describe it - kind of like it isn't working. I was reading some F-150 forums about this same thing and for those it can be adjusted by the dealer or FORScan. I'll definitely need to be looking into that because right now it isn't really doing much good.

Are you able to just change it yourself?

My wheel in my Ram gets nice and toasty, the Bronco heated wheel is by far the lamest ever. Now the heated seats are excellent and get way hotter than the Ram.

Great to know!
Love the heated steering wheel on my wife’s LR4…..works a treat for my hand osteoarthritis.
Major (only?) reason for choosing Lux.

….which begs the question “can high and low seat temp settings be adjusted?”
