Lurker. First post.

I got a build date of 6/14. Wanted to add the roof rack and rear locker to my build. Emailed my dealer rep and he said there's no changes after it's scheduled. Can someone verify this? It's not even in production for a month and it seems like it should be able to be changed. Hope a few of y'all have some info for me. Thanks

Nope. Order changes aren't possible after you receive a build date and VIN.

Just like the farmer's breakfast, where the chicken is involved, but the pig is committed, you are now committed to your build.

Everything we've seen points to your dealer being correct.

You can buy the roof rack (or even a potentially better aftermarket roof rack) later.

You are likely SOL on the locker.

Correct. Once a VIN is assigned and the build is scheduled, there is no modifying your order. The reason it was Scheduled is because they had all the parts for what was in your order.... it's locked in.

That said, roof rack will be easily added after the fact. I wouldn't sweat that.

Rear locker... is that a stand alone option? I can't remember anymore...

Can confirm that it is not possible to change your build after a VIN has been issued. Source: dealerships dealer rep.

You are entitled to make changes. Fight the dealer.
Not after a VIN has been issued. He is locked in.

Up. Until. The. Build. Is. Scheduled.

We were entitled to make changes for the past 5 months.... once that VIN is assigned, that's how the vehicle is being built.
