Help! Dealer went out of business

I need some help.


My dealer went out of business and supposedly transferred our orders to a different dealer. However after 40 days nothing has actually transferred and the new dealer cannot see our orders. We cannot certify them as 23 orders still. The deadline is next week.

The dealer says only Ford can transferred them. Ford corporate says only the dealer can do it. Catch 22. I believe the dealer is trying but nothing is happening and I’m concerned about the deadline on the 21st.

Anyone know what I can do to get my order transferred so I can update and certify

Do you have a copy or your DORA? That will have the dealer's order number to Ford on it. That should be enough information for the new dealer to make the change.

Yes have my order, it’s visible in the system. It’s existence is not in doubt.

Ventura Ford closed.

The new dealer says they just can’t take over the order in the system. They say Ford has to transfer it. But, Ford says the dealer has to do it and they can’t. The dealer says it’s a totally different office in Ford and that the customer help line isn’t correct. The new dealer stands to lose probably 25 orders if we can’t certify them, so I believe they are trying. The deadline is the issue—not sure what happens if the order stays in limbo. We can’t certify it without the dealer.
