I just want the KO2's either on BB or OB....hoping they're options, tho usually you get the tires they give you. So gotta wear out the first set.

There is more too it than swapping rubber. The badlands has a different suspension set up for the larger tire size. You can probably fit the same size tires in an OBX but it will rub and might knock a fender off unless you modify the suspension too.
If there is a 2" suspension a la carte option, do you think that will be sufficient to upgrade the OBX to 17" beadlocks and the 33" A/T?

now that B&P is here, are there any engineers that can confirm if a meatier 33" tire will be fine on the stock 18's? Trying to get a more aggressive look without the squatch than these weenie skinny stock tires.

I appreciate y'all.

Hey guys,

I know a lot of OBX guys have discussed upgrading their 32s to 33s. We've touched on some tire specs, but never really confirmed what works.

I personally dont know much about tires and did some research/googling, and im coming up with the below. Anyone with a good understanding of tires care to chime in?

OBX stock tires - Bridgestone Dueller A/T RH-S 255/70/18 (32.1"). FYI i am seeing at $170/ea on tire rack

In an attempt to match what's on the Badlands, given its a 33. Badlands stock tires (this is for a 17" not 18" rim) are BFG TA K02 LT285/70/17 (32.7") - $258/ea

So given the OBX has 18" wheels, not 17" i should adjust the BFGs above from 285 to 275, so LT275/70/18? Tirerack says 33.3" (which is good, because if it was closer to 32.7" like on the Badlands, it may not be worth the upgrade over OBX stocks at 32.1").

So is that right? LT275/70/18? Keep in mind the OBX rim is narrower than the Badlands rim, so I am not sure how that comes into play, and requires another adjustment to the tire spec.

Thanks!
Go to tiresize .com

Start looking around.
Lots of useful tools and shopping links.
They don't have all of the tire brands.
But it will get you squared away to your preferred size, to expand your search.

I had the dealer add BFG KO 2 275/70/18 prior to picking mine up. they look fantastic. They even gave me credit for the take off's.
